EMEA  is a big region with over 400 people spread over 16 countries and it is important that we all stay tuned to the various news and achievements happening in the region across the different functions.

The aim of this project is to connect our UK and German collocations to the Orange Business Services (OBS) network and migrate approx 50million minutes per month of customer traffic to OBS.


Over the coming months, technical training will continue to focus on Vidyo and Lync products, to ensure exceptional support as the deployment of these services grows.

Interaction between the various support teams has been impressive; regional Infrastructure Operations has provided clear training to sub-regional Service Operations teams, who have in turn passed this training on to local Customer Operations teams, increasing the first call fix rate.

A special thank you to the EMEA Network Team, which has provided extensive training on their area over the year.

The EMEA Service and Infrastructure Operations teams have smashed theArkadin SLA of 99.95% availability. To date the availability is as follows:
  • Viper CCP = 100%
  • Avaya Anytime = 99.996%
  • Anywhere = 99.87%
  • Lounge = 99.87%
Continued focus will remain in order to ensure these impressive standards continue.

JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

In June most of the German Customer Operations team (plus a few other colleagues) participated in the German JP Morgan Corporate Challenge 5.6K Run. The run raises much needed funds for handicapped & disabled children. This year’s event attracted 70,000 participants, with 14 runners from Arkadin.

Sarah Hopkins, UK Head of Customer Operations, is now on maternity leave.  While Sarah is away, Sara Shokouhian will be managing Customer Operations for the the UK and Julia Augustin will manage our team in Ireland.

Free trial generator

Free trial accounts enable prospects to test our services and see for themselves what great quality products we provide.  

To help us provide trial accounts much more quickly and ensure that they don’t remain free forever, Pierre Frankfort & Baudouin Carbonnelle from the Belgium office have created a Free Trial Portal, for internal use.  This will allow any Arkadin employee to create an instant free trial account, which will be automatically provisioned and have a welcome pack generated, that you can then send on to your prospect. The account will be automatically disabled after 30 days, so it’s important that we manage the customer’s expectation, that it is a trial access only.

A full launch of the generator will happen during October, but a pre-production version will soon be available for those who want a sneak peek.

Germany customer operations have moved...

Our German team has for a few years been located on a different floor of the office building from the rest of Arkadin Germany. 

In August they moved onto the same floor as the rest of their colleagues, which - apart from having a nice new environment to work in - will help them to work together even more effectively with the rest of the teams.

Well done & thank you to everyone that helped during the preparations and the move!

For all projects related to Unified Communications and Collaboration services the support team is:

Benefits include improved cost, reliability and management. The SIP interconnect infrastructure is now in place and migrations have started. One full carrier has already been migrated to OSB (TDC) and others are to follow in the coming months.
